One hot dry sunny afternoon I was waiting to get my car filled up at the Co-op Gas Station on 16th Ave. in Calgary. As I'm waiting, a guy walks in and says, "Fill up the ragtop!" I glanced outside and I saw a '65 Mercury convertible. I looked at this guy and I thought, I'm going to write a song about him.
